Over in Beaverton, Oregon, a car thief threatened to call the police on a woman all because she had left her four-year-old son unattended in her car (2013 silver Honda Pilot) that he, the car thief, had just stolen.

The folks over at FOX 12 spoke with the woman who told them that she went out on Saturday to pick up some stuff from the local grocery store, Basics Meat Market.

Due to the woman not having any more than three, four, maybe five items to get, she didn’t think she needed to turn off the car or to take the child in the store with her. Therefore, she left the four-year-old toddler in the car with the engine running. “As moms we get really busy and we think we’re just running in for a second and this is just a perfect example of just letting our guards down and how terribly it could have ended, so I’m just thankful that he’s OK and it was so stupid and I’ll never do that again, but it’s that split second decision that could just change everything,” is what the woman told FOX 12.

During some point or another, the thief spotted the woman jumping out the car with no keys in her hand and the doors unlock and the engine still going.

After the woman went into the store to get her three, four, or maybe five items, the thief went up to the car, open the door, and went on. While driving down the road, he happen to catch the view of a little human in the car which caused him to quickly turn the car around and head back towards the Basics Meat Market store.

Once the car thief made it back to the Basics Meat Market, he laid in on the woman about leaving her child in her car that he was stealing. The man was probably like, “What kind of mother are you to leave your child in the car? This is how people steal children. Get this child out of here before I call the cops on you.” The woman did as she was told. She grabbed the child and then watched as the man drove off in her car that he had just stolen a second time.

The thing that more than likely set the car thief off about the woman leaving her child in the car is her lack of respect for his job as a car thief.

First and foremost, he’s a car thief not a kidnapper. His job is to take possession of the objects, cars, which the kid parents’ own and not possession of the kid who the parents made. A car thief works seven days a week on little to no sleep for summatime pay. Summatime pay is pay that is sometimes yeah and sometimes nay. And having a kid riding shotgun in a car that has just been taken possession of is one of the main ways that car thieves get sometimes nay pay.

A kid + a stolen car =local, state, and federal police hot on a car thief’s tail which means no pay, no bail, and a lengthy prison sentence for carnapping and kidnapping. Therefore, with those facts at hand, the thief did the only thing he could do which is to take the kid back to his mother.

Mind you, it never crossed the car thief’s mind that his good deed of calling the police about the mother leaving her four-year-old toddler son unattended in her car that he, the car thief, had just stolen would not have resulted in the police overlooking his bad deed of stealing the woman’s car.

And it is due to the bad deed of stealing the woman’s car that the Beaverton police are looking for the 20 to 30-year-old white male suspect, with brownish hair that is braided, riding around in the woman’s 2013 Honda Pilot with an Oregon tag and license plate number of 357GLV.

Yup, all of those red light cameras and grocery light cameras tell on you. So y'all know that with all of the red blue light heat on his tail, the 20 to 30 year-old thief, with the brownish braided hair, will be getting that summatime nay pay.
